If I purchase the Step 7 package that includes the DVDs can I still download the software? Just want the DVD's as backup but want to still be able to download from Siemens.

Hi there, TIA Portal (regardless of the version or level) can only be used to configure Siemens WinCC Basic panels. WinCC Advanced Panels and stand-alone systems based on PC installations require WinCC Advanced server and client software. Hope this helps!
