    Hey, yes! you will be able to use all of the PLC programming languages supported by STEP 7 including LAD, FBD, and STL. The DBs (Data Blocks) are also available to use and program. 
    The only difference between STEP 7 Basic and STEP 7 Professional is that with STEP 7 Basic you will be able to program S7-1200 PLCs but with the professional version, you will be able to program all types of S7 PLCs, including S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300, and S7-400 PLCs.
